This video will demonstrate an endoscopic transcanal transpromontorial removal of a vestibular schwannoma in a 43 year old patient who presented with profound hearing loss with subsequent left hemifacial spasm and mild facial paresis.
The patient had a HB grade 2 facial paresis prior to surgery with spasm which declined to grade 5 function immediately after surgery. Her facial function rapidly improved to normal levels within 3 weeks and her hemifacial spasm has resolved. |
