37 year patient

Enrolled in the MESURE randomized trial (MEdical versus SUrgical management of REctal endometriosis), and allocated to the medical arm.

6 months after, due tu the lack of symptoms' improvement, she asked to undergo surgery.

She presented with a large deep endometriosis of low rectum and vagina. We performed a combined vaginal-laparoscopic-transanal approach, to completely remove macroscopic disease.

The rectum was shaved using PlasmaJet, than shaved area was removed using the Contour transtar stapler. We removed a 55m diameter rectal patch.

Operative time 2h.
