This patient with known situs inverses totalis had a symptomatic gallstone. The port positioning was a mirror image of the standard port positions. Firefly was used. Note how this is essentially a mirror image of the standard anatomy. There was an unexpected finding of a large lymph node at the intersection of the CBD and duodenum along the lateral aspect of the hepatoduodenal ligament (Cattell's node). This was resected and placed in a separate bag.. Pathology report was benign inflammation; no malignancy. |
