This movie is about Transabdominal preperitoneal (TAPP) approach performed with an electric scalpel.
I think an electric scalpel is a suitable device to keep the correct layer during TAPP procedure.
The present case has direct hernia (II-1 JHS classification) and he has the medical history of appendectomy. the surgical time is 53 min, almost no bleeding.
