Transanal endoscopic resections were proposed by Prof. Gerhard Büess by early 80's as a way of providing proper oncological resections of rectal early lesions without jeopardizing anorectal function.
This movie is a compilation of three videos, ordered in complexity degrees. All cases display technical challenges for various reasons.
Our first case is about TAMIS resection of an ultralow lesion, extending from the anal canal. The second case displays syncronous colorectal lesions, with a huge malignized polyp in mid rectum. The third case shows a transanal total mesorectal excision (TATME). |
