Video shows a complete footage of a non complicated umbilical hernia repair with light weight mesh (Ultra-Pro, Ethicon). Hernia ring is isolated and closed with PDS 1. Rectus aponeurois around the hernia ring is dissected and a piece of mesh (more than 3x the size of the hernia defect) is sutured over the aponeurosis with PDS 3.0. Umbilical scar is reconstructed with PDS 3.0 and white Vicryl 4.0.
