This patient had secondary infertility, presumably due to postpartum endometritis following a difficult labor. The pelvis is initially filled with saline to act as a back stop for the laser. Saline (or water) will absorb the laser beam, otherwise we would need a metal back stop.
Interceed surgical barrier is used at the end of the case to help prevent adhesion reformation.
