Video shows an eddited inguinal hernia repair by lichenstein open approach techinique.
Patient was 82 years old with high surgical risk, that caused laparoscopic repair dangerous and a raquidural anesteshia was selected.
Dissection made with monopolar scalpel, and a big indirected hernia sac and a huge lipoma were found, dissected and reduced below to the internal ring. After calibration of the internal ring (with vicryl 2.0 running suture), a 15x7cm mesh was sutured following the litechenstein principles (exception to the suture over the transverse muscle, that was made with running suture instead separete stitches).
Patient discharged next day from the surgery withou further complications.
