39 years old female with preoperative suspicion of perforated appendicitis with retroperitoneal abscess. intraoperative finding of a firm and hard inflammatory mass involving the cecum and ascending colon. Appendix not visible, full thickness colonic perforation is found. Procedure converted to formal right hemicolectomy with intracorporeal ileocolic anastomosis. Specimen retrieval via Mini-Pfannestiel incision. Postopreative outcomes shown.
