Video shows a laparoscopic cholecystectomy of a typical chornic cholecystitis gallbladder. The gallbladder is fully of stones, hard to grasp. Retrogade dissection is performed with monopolar hook, until the end of the gallbladder body, this facilitates a good exposition of the infundibulum. Cystic duct is dissected with hook and ligated with intracorporeal knots of vycril 0. The cystic artery is coagulated with hook and the cystic duct is cutted. The specimen is retrieved in a handmade endobag. All the working trocars are removed under direct vision and the gallbladder extracted using the umbilical trocar.
Patient discharged next day to home, without antibiotics.
