Watch a Japanese D3 lymph node dissection and CME technique in right hemicolectomy with ECHELON FLEX™ Powered Vascular Stapler and ENSEAL® G2. This procedure was performed by Dr. Yukihide Kanemitsu, Department of Colorectal Surgery, National Cancer Center Hospital, Tokyo, Japan. In this video, the Japanese D3 technique has emphasized anatomic lymph node dissection, the CME technique has emphasized preservation of the anatomic planes of surgical resection and central vascular ligation. They include division of the vessels at their origins on the SMV and SMA for right colon restrictions.
