In this video, we present a case of a laparoscopic resection of cesarean section scar ectopic pregnancy with isthmocele repair. Our patient underwent an uncomplicated surgery followed by appropriately decreasing beta-HCG levels and a repeat sonohysterogram that showed no residual cesarean section scar defect. Most reports recommend removing the ectopic pregnancy and repairing any defect. In our technique, we also remove any abnormal surrounding isthmocele tissue in order to reapproximate normal tissue edges. This technique leads to improved outcomes, decreased recurrence rates and decreased adhesion formation. Video courtesy of Courtney Steller, DO. Used with permission.
