In this live surgery video, Dr Safaa will demonstrate a laparoscopic gastric bypass, with an ante colic hand sewn anastomosis. This is the case of a 42-year-old female patient with a BMI of 49. She is diabetics and have high blood pressure. She has been worked up with an endoscopy and upper GI series showing the absence of hiatal hernia. She has no reflux. An ultrasound shows liver steatosis. There is no contraindication from a psychiatrist's point of view.
