Azagra & Goergen- Laparoscopic Gastric Bypass with percutaneous instruments
The purpose of this video is to describe our technique of laparoscopic Roux-en-Y
gastric bypass (LRYGB) using Reduced Port Surgery with percutaneous instrumentation and define the technical details. The standardized technique of retrocolic and retrogastric
LRYGB using RPS with percutaneous instruments,
including pictures of the whole procedure are reported.
Reduced-port surgery, using PSS, has proven useful for LRYGB, improving postoperative cosmetic results,reducing parietal trauma and its potential complications, particularly uneventful in this subtype of patients.
Although no special skills nor long learning curve were required.
