Laparoscopic port site herniation can complicate any trocar wound site but especially those over 5 mm in diameter. Direct suture closure can be difficult without wound extension especially in obese patients. This video abstract demonstrates a new device designed to allow full fascial closure under endoscopic control after removal of a laparoscopic trocar.
