Laparoscopic Retroperitoneal Chylous Cyst Excision

18yr old patient presenting with a 7.8cm retroperitoneal cyst in close relation with renal vasculature incidentally detected during CT abdomen done for evaluation of testicular cancer. Patient has undergone high inguinal orchidectomy without RPLND with full course of chemotherapy. However, the cyst persists with normal tumor markers suggesting benign origin. Laparoscopic excision of the cyst was successfully done through a right lateral approach by Dr Amit Thadhani and Dr B M Jayakar, department of Minimal Access Surgery, Niramaya Hospitals. The cyst was found to be a chylous retroperitoneal cyst - extremely rare, with virtually no record of successful laparoscopic excision in the few recorded cases of this condition.
