GIST GEJxn

WLE of very large GIST at GEJxn and primary suture reconstruction of GEJxn. Because of the size and proximity to the GE junction; the patient was treated with Gleevac preoperatively, but with no change in the tumor size.This video shows the preoperative CT images and the highlights of the resection. Reconstruction was done with a single suture line after removal of a large amount of the GE junction. The Left Gastric Artery was removed with the tumor. The Gastroepiploic Artery and the short gastrics were preserved. The patient did better than expected with no complaints of heartburn or dysphagia.
