This video shows the technique for laparoscopic apical lymph node tissue dissection with the preservation of the origin of the inferior mesenteric artery (left colic artery divided) for patients undergoing anterior resection. An example of the technique performed with variant anatomy (descending branch of left colic artery) as well as with Robotic assistance is also shown.
