For medical education- NSFE. This young beautiful woman has a probable lipoma on her forehead, which creates a noticeable bump. She is getting married soon, and would like to have it removed before her wedding.
A lipoma is a benign collection of clonal fat cells (adipose cells), that can occur anywhere on the body, where fat cells reside. When I see a lipoma on the face or scalp, I suspect it may be a traumatic lipoma, which usually doesn't come out well encapsulated but I have to remove it in parts, as you see here.
She did very well, and I do expect that the area will heal well with no noticeable scar for her wedding. She won't have a bump on her forehead for her future engagement and wedding photos!
